Art is something we make together.

I believe creativity grows through curiosity, experimentation, and community. Alongside my studio practice, I have several years of experience designing and leading art workshops for participants of all ages and experience levels. Whether teaching complete beginners or experienced makers, I strive to create welcoming, supportive spaces where people are encouraged to take risks.

The spaces I facilitate empower participants to explore new techniques, to tell their own stories, and to connect with one another through making.

I have taught workshops in English and Spanish for organizations including Holden Village, SOMOS Seattle, Tacones Morados, The Circle, and community arts programs throughout the Seattle area.

What to Expect

Every workshop is designed to meet participants where they are while fostering curiosity, conversation, and meaningful creative experiences.

  • I teach workshops on introductory watercolor, linocut printing, embroidery, and comics. I also lead thematic workshops, such as nature journaling, comics and memory-keeping, and community-building postcard exchange. If you have a particular theme or goal, that can be incorporated into the session.

  • I have experience working with children (years 9-12), teenagers (13-18), and adults. I adapt the workshop structure and goals to suit the audience.

  • I have led workshops in collaboration with organizations local to Western Washington, as well as abroad:

  • I tailor each workshop to consider the audience, the setting, and the goals of the workshop. The content adjusts to the time available, including prepping and takedown.

I'm available to teach workshops, facilitate community art projects, and develop custom programming for schools, nonprofits, museums, libraries, and cultural organizations.
